Managing the Transformational Project: Lessons Learned from MetLife's
Talent Management Initiative

Presented by: Roger Taylor, VP, Strategic Staffing, MetLife
David Marzo, Vice President, Solutions Architecture, The Newman Group
Wednesday, July 11
Get practical insight to help meet the challenges and address the needs associated with transformational initiative, including:
  • Managing the process-Even the most detailed functional aspects of an initiative can involve a large number of participants from a variety of backgrounds, and effective management of people and activities is critical.
  • Continuous evaluation-From tracking progress to monitoring evolving stakeholder requirements, continuous evaluation of all aspects of the initiative will give you the insight to identify issues before they create problems.
  • Preparing for the unexpected-Whether it's a change in executive leadership or a refocusing of corporate goals, surprises are almost inevitable. There are ways to improve your ability to adjust to the unexpected.
  • Addressing the details-Don't wait to find out that your vendor's definition of user acceptance is entirely different from yours. From speaking the same language to understanding expectations, attack the details early.
  • Defining Success-Each participant may enter the project with a different idea of what success means, but reaching common definition among all participants is essential.
