New Study on Automated Benefits Management Finds HRIS Key to Reducing Costs and Attracting & Retaining Candidates

WILMINGTON, Mass., -- According to a new benchmark study from Aberdeen
Group, a Harte-Hanks company
, Best in Class organizations embrace
automated benefits management strategies and tactics in an effort to
reduce the rising costs of healthcare and improve their over-all
employee recruitment and retention efforts. The study, entitled
Benefits Management Benchmark: Technology Automation and Employee Self
Service, found that nearly nine out of ten (89%) survey respondents
cited reducing benefits-related costs as the leading priority when
evaluating benefits management technology followed by lowering the
administrative burden on their human resource staff. When asked to
identify the top strategies for dealing with benefits management, 41%
of respondents stated that automating benefits enrollment and life
change submissions through employee online self service was a primary
goal, while 37% focused on expanding benefit choices to employees.
