GLENN M. RAMPTON


Glenn Rampton is currently chief executive officer of Kerry’s Place Autism Services. Previously, Dr. Rampton held senior executive and human resources positions in a variety of settings. He retired as senior psychologist of the Canadian Forces in 1983, after a distinguished career as a military behavioural scientist. During his tenure with the Forces, Dr. Rampton was responsible for a number of innovations that led to the more effective and efficient staffing and utilization of human resources within the Department of National Defence.

 Prior to his appointment as senior psychologist, Dr. Rampton served as commanding officer of the Canadian Forces Personnel Applied Research Unit, and as an associate professor of leadership and management at the Royal Military College. Dr. Rampton represented Canada on a number of international committees and working groups, including the Steering Committee of a prestigious panel of senior scientists from the United States, Great Britain, Australia, and New Zealand. He also served as president of the Military Testing Association (MTA), representing more than 1000 scientists engaged in applied research in 15 research institutes from eight countries in Europe, Australia, and North America. In this capacity he acted as chair of the MTA’s22nd Annual Conference in Toronto.

Dr. Rampton has also held appointments as the director of Human Resources Planning and Development for Canada Post Corporation, and as assistant vice-president (human resources) for York University. In both of these positions, he was responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of corporate human resources programs in the context of great organizational change.
